CBSE is about to announce schedule of 10th and 12th board exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) may soon announce the schedule for class 10 and 12 term-2 papers. The CBSE board has already conducted the term-1 papers of class 10 and 12 this month and now the term-2 examinations will be conducted.CBSE as well as CISCE which conducts ICSE or class 10th or class 12th examinations will not declare pass-fail status for Term-1 Both the boards will conduct the class 10 and class 12 board exams in two phases.

The first term examinations are over in December and the second term examinations for class 10th and 12th CBSE and CISCE will be conducted in March-April 2022. CBSE will declare the final results after conducting the Term-2 examinations.

CBSE Class 10 and 12 Term-2 examinations will consist of 50% questions from the syllabus. The syllabus for all the subjects is already present on the official website. Students should start preparing according to their syllabus. It has already been declared that will contribute at least 50 per cent weightage to the entire examination result of Term-1. But its exact ratio will be shared soon. Students are advised to keep checking the official website. Students are required to appear in Term-1 and Term-2 examinations. If a student remains absent for any term, no average marks will be awarded to him.Term-2 exam will consist of case based questions, situation based questions, open-ended questions, short answer and long answer type questions. This exam will be of 2 hours.

The introduction of two board examination system was new for the students. There was also no place for step-marking in the Term 1 exam based on MCQs. Then many students had also expressed concern that this year’s board exam was more difficult than the regular exam.As of now the board has decided not to pass or fail any student. As per the board, Term 1 Board Exam Result will have only numbers. The board had earlier said that the students will be assessed only for the exam and no student will be given pass, fail, repeat or compartment grades.

The second term examination may be held in March-April 2022 at the centers and its final result matters more. If the test for the second term is not found due to covid-19 situation or any other reason, the weightage of the marks of the term-1 examination will be increased to give the year-end results.
