Traffic rules are going to be strict in 12 districts including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Purnia of Bihar. Preparations have started regarding this. Very soon black spots will be marked in these districts of the state and vehicle checking will be done there and traffic rules will be tightened.
According to the news, orders have been given to tighten traffic rules in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Katihar, Purnia, Gaya, Bhojpur, Saran, Bhagalpur, Munger, Darbhanga and Nalanda in Bihar. Along with this, strict penalty has been asked for violation of rules.
In all these districts also, helmet checking, seat belts in four wheelers are being made mandatory. Immediate challan will be deducted for appearing without helmet and fine will also be imposed on those with seat belts in four wheelers.
Not only this, to bring transparency in the traffic system, body-worn cameras will be installed on the uniforms of the traffic officers and jawans on duty. Simultaneously, they will be monitored live. After Patna, Nalanda, its use has been started in Saran district.
In this, a review is being done on the population of the city, capacity of vehicles, jammed area, police force and infrastructure etc. Apart from all this, there will also be an emphasis on road safety so that accidents can be reduced. In the first phase, the cities with divisional headquarters have been selected. Apart from this, the traffic system of cities like Patna, Gaya, Bhojpur, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Munger and Darbhanga will also be reviewed.
With urbanization, the pressure of vehicles on the roads is increasing. In such a situation, jamming in small towns is not a new thing now. There is also a plan to install traffic signals at important squares and intersections of these cities to improve the traffic system. For this, proposals for main places have been sought.
Along with this, there is also a plan to increase the traffic police force. This is being considered. The work of providing state-of-the-art technology to the traffic police has also started. Under this, body war cameras and speed guns have also been provided to the police in many cities including Nalanda, Bhagalpur, Patna.
